About the Role:The Project Coordinator supports the planning, coordination, and delivery of Employment and Training programs and initiatives across the Métis Nation of Ontario. This role is responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of assigned projects, maintaining organized and accurate project records, and ensuring that program milestones and deliverables are met on time and in accordance with funding agreements. Working closely with internal staff, community members, and external partners, the Project Coordinator applies specialized knowledge of project coordination, community engagement, and administrative systems to support high-quality service delivery. The position requires independent decision-making, strong organizational and communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
What you will be doing:- Utilize specialized knowledge to meet program, Branch and organizational needs.
- Develop programs, policies, and proposals based on demographic, social and economic research and analysis.
- Act in accordance with the guidelines of the associated professional designations and standards.
- Conduct program and project evaluation, using a variety of research and evaluation tools.
- Respond to the needs of internal and external clients as required.
- Research practices and recommend changes or modifications to existing policies, practices or positions.
- Research and prepare detailed and accurate reports, briefing notes and presentations.
- Develop communication tools to enhance understanding of issues.
- Promote, track, and measure compliance with program funding requirements by creating and implementing appropriate data collection, reporting, and/or recordkeeping processes.
- Promotes the values of the organization within the workplace and in the community by demonstrating positive and professional relationships with others (employees, citizens, council, volunteers, advocates, etc.).
- Reports all unsafe conditions, hazards or practices, accidents and incidents by the Occupational Health and Safety Act and adheres to all Health and Safety requirements within the MNO’s policies and procedures and provincial legislation.
