Reporting to the Senior Account Manager – Retail Grocery, the Account Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining strong, trust-based customer relationships across an assigned Ontario territory. This role serves as the primary liaison between customers, partners, and internal teams to drive customer satisfaction, retention, revenue growth, and operational excellence.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Build and maintain strong customer partnerships through regular store visits, proactive communication, and performance reviews.
- Lead customer discussions related to service quality, SOW compliance, escalations, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate closely with Partner Relations to improve partner performance, support partner transitions (PCOs), and ensure service excellence.
- Partner with Talent Acquisition to support hiring, onboarding, staffing plans, and retention of frontline teams.
- Manage assigned store/site P&Ls, monitor costs, control budgets, and identify opportunities to improve profitability.
- Retain existing revenue and support growth through contract renewals, special services, new business start-ups, and collaboration with Business Development.
- Analyze financials including billing, invoicing, labor hours, materials, equipment costs, and inventory assets.
- Lead planning, budgeting, and execution of annual and long-term operational strategies aligned with company objectives.
- Ensure compliance with operational processes, health & safety standards, audits, inspections, and company technologies (Salesforce, Microsoft tools).
- Support workforce performance management, coaching, training initiatives, and continuous improvement across partners and cleaners.
REQUIREMENTS- University degree in Business, Operations, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of operational management experience; minimum 5 years in the janitorial or facilities services industry.
- Strong business acumen with experience managing budgets, P&Ls, and cost controls.
- Excellent communication, conflict management, and relationship-building skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, 24/7 service environment with frequent travel.
- Strong technology skills and ability to work
