Job SummaryWe are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will possess strong data entry and analysis skills to ensure timely and accurate processing of payables and receivables. This position will also provide backup to Customer Service when required.
DutiesAccounts Payable- Monitor emails
- Process vendor invoices in ERP system ensuring three-way matching (invoice, PO and receiving) and investigate any discrepancies
- Process payments; cheque runs and electronic payments
- Respond to vendor inquiries regarding invoice status and payment details
- Process non-PO invoices in ERP system in accordance with approval workflows
- Reconcile credit card statements and petty cash
- Verify monthly vendor statements
- Order office supplies
Accounts Receivable- Monitor emails
- Record EFT/wire payments & process deposits of cheques accurately
- Set-up new customers, maintain records and respond to inquiries
- Issue invoices from prior day shipping
- Daily sales reporting
- Monitor aging reports and follow up on overdue accounts for collection
- Support management of credit limits and payment terms
- Respond to customer inquiries related to billing and account questions
- Process reference checks on customer credit term applications
Backup to Customer Service- Answer emails and phone calls
- Enter orders into the ERP system
- Forward quotation request to purchasing department
Answer all incoming calls.
Provide support for other departments when needed.
