Nicholson is currently looking for an Administrative Assistant to join our Finance team in Sidney, BC.
Job SummaryWe are seeking an Administrative Assistant to support the day to day activities of the finance department and ensure work is completed accurately, efficiently and in a timely manner.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Assisting with Export documentation, logistics, and shipping.
- Perform general administrative duties supporting the finance team.
- Meeting and greeting customers and suppliers.
- Sorting mail.
- Answering and screening phone calls.
- Provides data entry support such as entering cash receipts, processing journals and transactions and filing documents.
- Assisting with account recoveries.
- Support the local management team with setting up customer meetings and ordering lunches.
- Support the interim and annual audit process by compiling and providing relevant supporting documents, as required
- Perform or backup for general administrative duties including ordering supplies for office and events.
- Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proficiency with MS Office
- Customer service orientation
- Highly organized
- Data entry skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Some post-secondary education, considered an asset
- Work experience in an administrative role, considered an asset
- Experience working with an ERP System is, considered an asset
- Exports and Logistics experience.
AvailabilityThis is a full-time position with a flexible starting date. Office hours are generally 8:00am – 4:30pm
