Job Description: Administrative Assistant (Student)The Administrative Assistant at Taber Adult Learning is a collaborative, challenging role wherein the successful applicant will work directly with clients who have a diverse range of barriers, including mental or physical health, difficulty finding work, low literacy, low numeracy, low digital skills, and more. This role will seek to work on small projects while also being on the front line assisting walk in clients.

Role SummaryCompensation is $18/hr for 35 hours per week from approximately June 1st until August 28th.
Generally, hours will be from 8:30am to 4:30pm Mon-Fri, with an houor unpaid lunch break.
Duties and Responsibilities- Assist clients with technology needs, such as e-mail, faxing documents, printing documents, accessing platforms, getting set up with training, etc.
- Perform routine check-ins with clients to ensure their success.
- Collaborate directly with the associate and executive directors on special projects, including building new systems and processes for clients.
- Work on establishing a greater digital presence for client access.
- Field phone calls and communicate with stakeholders; set up meetings with other local community groups for training and development.
- Assist with community outreach and attending local events, where appropriate and applicable, to promote our organization.
Qualifications, Skills, and Education- Be between 15-30 years of age, have been registered as a full-time student in the previous academic year and intend to return to school on a full-time asis in the next academic year in a secondary, post-secondary, vocational, or technical program.
- Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident or have official protection status under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial legislation and regulations.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Superior analytical and problem solving skills.
- Proficient with Office 365
