Administrative Support Summer StudentMaple Ridge/Pitt Meadows Community Services is looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Administrative Support Summer Student to provide basic administrative support across our organization. This role is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a community-based non-profit environment while supporting day-to-day operations that help keep programs running smoothly.
This position will work closely with administrative staff and program teams, providing support with a variety of tasks including data entry, organization, communication, and general office support.
ACCOUNTABILITIES- Provides day-to-day administrative assistance by completing data entry, filing, scanning, and document organization
- Supports the preparation of forms, templates, and basic documents using Microsoft Office 365
- Assists with maintaining accurate and up-to-date records across internal systems
- Supports reception and front desk functions as needed, including greeting visitors and responding to general inquiries
- Assists with organizing office supplies and maintaining shared spaces
- Helps coordinate meetings by setting up rooms, preparing materials, and supporting logistics
- Assists program teams with basic administrative tasks to support service delivery
- Assists in creating graphics (using Canva) for internal communications including the organizations intranet
- Supports internal communications by helping prepare notices, updates, or materials
- Completes other related duties as assigned to support team and organizational needs
QUALIFICATIONSEducation, Training and Experience- Currently enrolled in secondary or post-secondary education with the intention of returning to school in September 2026
- Strong attention to detail and ability to stay organized
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams)
- Clear and respectful communication skills
- Ability to manage time and complete tasks with minimal supervision
- Willingness to learn and contribute within a team environment
Shift/Schedule/Hours per week: 35 hours per week over a period of 8 weeks; for a total of 280 hours
Expected Start Date: ASAP
Wage/Salary: $20.25/hour
