Job Summary

Lakepoint Childcare and Learning Centre Inc. is a licensed, inclusive childcare facility offering high-quality Before & After School care as well as exciting Spring and Summer Camp programming for children aged 5–12. Located in Westhills, we provide a fun, safe, and creative learning environment year-round.

We are looking for a part time or full time educator

Schedule: Part-time (After School)

• After School: 2:00 PM – 5:30 PM (3.5 hours)
• Pro-D Days: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Summer and Spring Camps: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:

• Actively supervise school-age children; keep accurate attendance and name-to-face checks.
• Lead daily routines: welcome, snack, homework/quiet time, indoor/outdoor play.
• Walk to/from schools using safe routes, pinnies/IDs, headcounts, and checkpoints.
• Facilitate engaging activities (arts, STEM, games) and positive guidance.
• Keep spaces tidy and safe; complete incident/illness reports as needed.
• Communicate clearly with families and teammates; follow all centre policies.

Required Qualifications:

• Responsible Adult or ECEA certification (required)
• Valid First Aid & CPR Certificate (required)
• Clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector
• Previous experience working with children (preferred)
• Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented

Salary:

$19-$20 per hour
