Job SummaryWe are seeing a compassionate and results-driven Assistant Store Manager (Trainee) to join our team. You will support the store in daily operations, ensuring our customers – many of whom are facing mobility or health challenges – receipt informed guidance and high-quality Customer Service. You will be the primary contact point for our in-person and over-the-phone customers, assist in managing inventory and upholding the highest standards of client care and safety.
Responsibilities- Operational Leadership: Oversee daily store activities, including opening/closing, cash handling, scheduling service work.
- Customer Experience: Act as a subject matter expert for complex customer needs, providing empathetic service and resolving escalations with a problem-solving mindset.
- Inventory & Merchandising: Assist in managing inventory levels, conduct audits, and ensure showroom is clean, organized and accessible.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure the store adheres to healthcare regulations, safety protocols, and company policies.
- Scheduling: Scheduling and confirming Parkland & area Service calls
Skills and Qualifications- Experience: 2+ years of retail or customer service experience; prior experience in pharmacy, Home Medical Equipment or in healthcare field is a significant asset
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills for engaging with customers and team members alike.
- Leadership: Proven ability to motivate a team and drive sales targets while maintaining a focus on client outcomes.
- Technical Savvy: Proficient with computers & typing, and ability to learn new software programs
- Time Management: Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a busy setting
- Compassion: A genuine desire to help individuals with their mobility and health care equipment needs.

Education- Secondary School (required)
Experience- Customer service: 2 years (required)
