We are currently recruiting for AZ Drivers, with the ability to work a varied schedule, to join our Cornwall, ON team.

Rate of pay: $24.00/hr + $1.00/hr Safety Premium

Under the direction of the Dispatcher and/or Warehouse Manager, AZ & DZ drivers operate Company trucks to deliver automotive parts and accessories to our stores throughout our network. Our truck drivers are often called upon to pick up product at a variety of Suppliers as part of their day-to-day responsibilities. As our drivers navigate the same roads as our existing and potential customers, they are expected to represent the Company with exceptional customer service at all times.

A successful candidate has excellent communication and time management skills, is self-motivated, enthusiastic, has a strong work ethic, and will also have:

• Valid Class AZ Driver’s permit (required)
• Ability to work a varied schedule
• Some experience on Pallet Truck
• Ability to communicate in French (an asset)
• Strong attention to detail
• Forklift experience is an asset, but not required (training will be provided)
• Previous experience as a Truck driver (an asset)
• Confidence and aptitude to work unsupervised and independently
• General knowledge of geographic sectors (streets, landmarks, etc.) throughout Ontario and Quebec (our Network includes stores in both provinces)
• Good Driving Record

Key Responsibilities

• Efficiently deliver automotive parts and accessories to Company stores via pre-established routes
• Adapt as routes change due to business demands
• Perform daily pre-trip inspection of vehicle
• Report any vehicle problems to the Dispatcher and/or Warehouse Manager
• Maintain a clean driving record at all times (drivers abstract must be provided)
• Comply with posted speed limits
• Comply with MTO rules and regulations on completion of driver’s daily log sheets and pre-trip inspection reports
• Operate fleet vehicles on a daily basis
• Other duties as deemed necessary and assigned
