About the OpportunityReporting to the Manager, Child & Adolescent, the Behavioural Support Worker works under the direction of a licensed professional. Provides home-based behaviour modifications and interventions to children up to 19 years old who are diagnosed with neurodevelopmental disorders such as Autism, Asperger’s, and Tourette syndrome, ADHD, ODD, as well as other comorbid mental health disorders. The role involves collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team, participation in functional behaviour assessments, planning effective behaviour intervention plans, and conducting analysis of behavioural data for clients in the program.
About YouWe would love to hear from you if you have the following:
- 2-year Child and Youth Diploma Program and one Behaviour Interventionist program or equivalent program required
- 2 years related previous experience required
- Demonstrated experience working with pre-school, school age and adolescents with neurodevelopmental disorders providing behavioural based interventions.
- Experience providing functional behavioural based assessments.
- Knowledge and ability to participate in the planning and implementation of behaviour management strategies.
- Ability to provide psychoeducation for problems commonly associated with neurodevelopmental disorders
- Knowledge of evidence-based standards and practices for behavioural intervention for children and adolescents with neurodevelopmental disorders.
- Demonstrates professionalism in attitude, dress, and behaviour.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Compensation and Benefits$34.20 - $41.93 Hourly
