OverviewWe are seeking a reliable and experienced Boat Operator & Onboard Safety Supervisor to manage vessel operations and ensure a safe, enjoyable environment during private recreational outings and social events.
This role combines professional vessel handling with guest safety oversight during high-energy, social settings.
Key ResponsibilitiesBoat Operation- Safely operate and navigate a 45 ft motor yacht
- Handle docking, anchoring, and maneuvering in various conditions
- Conduct pre- and post-trip vessel checks (fuel, systems, safety equipment)
- Maintain compliance with local boating laws and regulations
Safety & Oversight- Monitor guest behavior to ensure safety on board (especially during parties)
- Enforce basic safety rules (no dangerous behavior, capacity awareness, etc.)
- Remain alert and sober at all times during operation
- Respond calmly to any incidents or emergencies
- Coordinate emergency response if needed
Onboard Presence- Maintain a professional but approachable presence
- Assist with general flow of events (boarding, disembarking, coordination)
- Support host in keeping the environment fun but controlled
- Act as a discreet authority figure when needed
Requirements- Valid boating license (e.g., Pleasure Craft Operator Card in Canada; advanced certifications preferred)
- Proven experience operating mid-to-large recreational vessels (40+ ft preferred)
- Strong awareness of marine safety protocols
- Physically fit and able to be on feet for extended periods
- Calm, confident personality with good judgment
- Comfortable working in social/party environments
Preferred:- First Aid / CPR certification
- Marine emergency training (e.g., MED A3 or equivalent)
- Prior experience in private yacht, security, or hospitality roles
