A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER - STRATA POPERTY PORTFOLIOSAs a Business Development Manager, you will focus on identifying, engaging, and securing partnerships with Strata Management companies and Strata Councils throughout BC. You will actively prospect new opportunities while building long-term relationships with strata managers and property managers, positioning First Onsite as a trusted and preferred vendor across their portfolios.
You will collaborate closely with internal teams to develop and present competitive proposals and RFP responses for emergency response work and special projects. This includes preparing detailed submissions that highlight our value, certifications, and experience to meet strict strata council requirements. You will also represent First Onsite at key industry events and tradeshows, increasing brand visibility and strengthening your network. Success in this role is measured by your ability to grow the client base and consistently meet or exceed revenue targets.
QUALIFICATIONS- 2-5+ years of B2B sales experience, preferably within property management, insurance, or restoration in BC
- Strong understanding of the BC strata market, including property maintenance and vendor requirements
- Well-networked within the strata, property, or facility management industry
- Experience preparing proposals, bids, and RFP responses
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with property managers and strata councils
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously
- Experience using Salesforce and Bolt, with a strong focus on maintaining accurate activity and communication records
- A working knowledge of property insurance, building construction, or restoration is preferred
- Proficiency in using the Microsoft Office Suite is essential
