About The Underground CaféThe Underground Café is a unique, boutique café located in the lower level of a professional office building. With a warm, creative atmosphere, we serve quality coffee, fresh breakfast, and lunch to a steady weekday clientele. We are looking for someone who can take ownership of the café’s daily operations and bring consistency, cleanliness, and great food to our customers.
The RoleThis is a hands-on position where you will run the café day-to-day. You’ll be responsible for preparing food, managing inventory, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and cook fresh breakfast and lunch items
- Manage food ordering and inventory levels
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen and service area
- Ensure compliance with all food safety standards
- Open and set up the café each morning (and close when required)
- Provide friendly, professional customer service
- Keep the café fully stocked and running smoothly
What We’re Looking For- Experience in a café, kitchen, or similar food service role
- Ability to work independently and take full ownership of the space
- Strong organizational skills and attention to cleanliness
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
- Comfortable managing both cooking and light operational duties
- Food Handler Certification (or willingness to obtain)
