Reporting to the Director of Capital & Housing the Project Manager works out of the Tsay Keh Dene Band Office, on site in Tsay Keh Dene, and from home. The Project Manager performs project management duties, including site supervision, contract management, scheduling and other duties as needed to advance a variety of projects related to new and existing Tsay Keh Dene infrastructure. The Project Manager works closely with all project stakeholders and must ensure all project specifications and safety regulations are met.

Key Job Duties (including but not limited to):- Responsible for the management of projects as assigned
- Assigned projects will be determined through a collaborative planning process with the director of capital and housing, the capital and housing technician and Tsay Keh Dene Leadership. Projects include new infrastructure development, renovations, building repairs and other capital and maintenance projects as required.
- Supports the development of the Capital and Housing Department work plans and implements department objectives.
- Effectively allocations resources to achieve project objectives while providing leadership and ensuring compliance with TKDN’s policies and procedures.
- Supervises contractors as allocated and assigned and coordinates with maintenance department manager on projects as required.
- Provides planning input on projects and helps determine resources needed.
- Coordinates and supports the contractor hiring and construction management process.
- Provides site supervision of contractors and all other project personnel as needed.
- Works with the capital and housing technician and other department staff to provide project status updates.
Job Requirements:Education and Experience- Education in areas relevant to project management, five or more years experience in a similar position or equivalent.
- Advanced understanding of an experience with capital projects, infrastructure development, maintenance, housing repair and renovations.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - Knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions common to the position.
- Knowledge of carpentry tools, equipment, maintenance and repair functions
- Knowledge of equipment operation principles, practices and procedures.
- Skilled in the operation of construction equipment and hand tools.
- Skilled in project management and construction best practices.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, computer, radio and phone.

- Valid BC Driver’s License and Abstract demonstrating a safe driving record.
Working Conditions:- Regularly works outside in weather conditions in a northern climate.
