We are actively recruiting for a reliable friendly Care Worker to provide evening support for a retired professional male employer with a C4 spinal cord injury.

Experience as a Personal Support Worker(this is helpful but not required), training will be provided by the employer, spouse and a member of the care team.

The ideal candidate will also enjoy friendly, casual conversation while assisting with evening routines in a calm, respectful manner.

Location:

Victoria, BC (Near Broadmead area, on Bus Route 6a)

Shifts & Hours of Work:

• Tuesday and Sunday: 7:00PM to 11:30PM
• Days can be flexible for the right candidate
• Ability to cover Monday to Friday day shifts is desirable

Compensation:

$29 per hour

Responsibilities will include (but may not be limited to):

• Daily evening personal care including peri care, showering, dressing assistance, grooming, all ADL's
• Assist with colostomy checks/changes, colostomy flange change, catheter checks as required
• Assist with ceiling lift transfers
• Meal preparation and light cooking
• Medication assistance, range of motion, assistance with exercise and therapy
• Assist with Bi-PAP machine cleaning and refilling
• Support on errands/outings etc.

Required Qualifications:

• Honest, diligent and hardworking who has willingness to learn
• Must have a very strong command of English
• Class 5 Driver's license preferred
• Friendly, Reliable, and compassionate
• Comfortable driving Toyota Sienna Minivan
• Physically able to perform the job
• Ability to cover mornings during the week
• Non-Smoker
• Full vaccinated for COVID-19 (2 doses)
