Our close-knit kitchen team is seeking two full-time Catering Cooks to join the team and support with both prep and on-site catering events.
The ideal candidates will have a minimum of 3-5 years of cooking experience in either high-volume establishments such as hotels, catering companies, or banquet centres or in from-scratch restaurants. They are punctual, care about food, and enjoy working in a team environment. They should be able to accept direction and feedback and have a desire to improve their skillsets and run their own kitchen one day.
Primary job duties will include but are not limited to:- Daily execution of catering events
- Production of catering items for offsite catering events and corporate deliveries, such as: hot and cold buffets, plated meals, canapé functions, boxed lunches, and private cooking classes
- Ensuring cleanliness and maintenance of equipment and environment is upheld
- Assure compliance of all health and safety protocols and safe food handling regulations are upheld
- Lead by example at all times in meeting established urban element brand and company standards
- Follow all kitchen and operational policies and procedures
- Support ordering and inventory processes
The scheduling needs of this role may vary based on catering needs, however the primary hours will be during the daytime, with evening and weekend availability being a necessity when events require.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 44 per week
