Job summaryStoddart Creek Water Services Inc is looking for a reliable, safety-focused Class 1 driver to join our team. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, well aquainted with resource roads in the Fort St John region, has previous experience hauling potable water to oil and gas sites and can safely and effectively operate a tridem water truck towing a stiff pole tridem water trailer.
Duties- Operate a tridem truck, towing a tridem stiff pole trailer, equipped to haul potable and demineralized water.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
- Maintain accurate driver logs, follow company policies and industry standards and adhere to transportation regulations for commercial driving.
- Manage schedules and thoroughly communicate with dispatch and clients.
- Safely and effectively load and unload water. Can demonstrate the ability to climb the ladder to access the top of the water tank mounted on the truck and trailer.
- Familiar with operating and maintaining a bowie water pump.
- Chain up when required in poor and adverse driving conditions, drive on 9-12% grades and call ALL km’s on resource roads.
Experience:- Valid Class 1 Driver’s License.
- Minimum 3+ years experience with fluid hauling.
- Can demonstrate the abilty to safely and efficiently operate a manual transmission.
- Safety tickets required: H2s, First Aid Level 1, Common Safety Orientation (CSO).
- Ability to pass a drug, alcohol & fitness test.
- Strong commitment to safety, professionalism and effective communication.
Pay:$35.00-$40.00 per hour
