Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join our equipment and gravel hauling team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating commercial vehicles to transport freight across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining the highest safety standards. This role offers an opportunity to work with a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment, utilizing a range of skills including heavy equipment operation and basic repair.

Duties

• Safely operate trucks for deliveries, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Load and unload freight using forklifts and other heavy equipment as needed, ensuring proper handling and securement of cargo.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to identify maintenance needs or safety issues.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs, driver logs.
• Assist with vehicle maintenance and minor repairs.
• Coordinate with dispatchers to optimize routes and delivery schedules.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and company transportation policies.
• Operate heavy equipment when required for loading or unloading cargo at facilities.

Experience

• Proven experience in commercial driving, preferably with freight transportation.
• Familiarity with forklift operation and heavy equipment handling is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of automotive repair basics to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues on the road.
• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
• Experience with freight handling, loading/unloading procedures, and safety protocols.
• Prior experience operating heavy machinery or industrial equipment is a plus.

Pay:

$28.00-$34.00 per hour
