Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Clinical Assistant to join our healthcare team. As a key member of our team, the Clinical Assistant will support the delivery of comprehensive family medicine services, working closely with our physicians to provide primary care to a diverse patient population. This is a clinic-based (non-hospital) role focused on building long-term patient relationships and ensuring continuity of care. This position requires strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to patient-centered care.
Responsibilities- Conducting patient interviews
- Taking medical histories
- Performing physical examinations
- Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests and imaging
- Diagnosing and treating illnesses
- Developing and implementing management plans
- Coordinating care with specialists
- Performing clinical procedures
- Providing preventative health counselling
- Participating in clinic rounds and team case discussions
- Documenting all patient interactions using EMR
- Working collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team
- Assisting in ongoing care and patient education
- Other duties as assigned
Note: This is not a Medical Assistant or Medical Office Assistant position.
QualificationsPhysician Assistant Requirements:- Must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba (CPSM)
- Must hold a medical degree from a nationally approved Faculty of Medicine
- Must meet CPSM registration requirements

Additional Requirements- Proficiency in English
- Experience with electronic medical records and digital documentation
- Completion of a Criminal Record Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search)
- Clearance from the Adult and Child Abuse Registries
- May be required to undergo a skills assessment or provide credential verification
