CMM Programmer & Operator - Stoney Creek, ON
Our client is looking for an experienced CMM Programmer/Inspector to join their precision manufacturing team. This organization produces complex, high-tolerance components and assemblies used across industries such as aerospace, defense, medical, and advanced technologies. In this role, you will be responsible for programming and operating coordinate measuring machines (CMM) to ensure all products meet strict engineering and quality standards.
Responsibilities- Develop and maintain CMM programs using PC-DMIS software
- Perform inspections using CMM equipment in accordance with quality procedures
- Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications
- Inspect precision components and assemblies using various measurement tools
- Utilize instruments such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and hardness testers
- Identify and document non-conforming materials or components
- Communicate quality issues with internal teams and external partners
- Support corrective action processes and continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure accurate and thorough documentation of inspection results
Qualifications- 3+ years of experience with CMM programming and inspection
- Proficiency with PC-DMIS software
- Strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Experience in quality control within a manufacturing environment
- Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings
- Familiarity with a variety of precision measuring tools and equipment
- CNC machining process knowledge an asset
