Job OverviewWe are seeking an experienced CNC Programmer/ Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of woodworking knowledge and expertise in CNC programming, utilizing Auto-Cad, B-Solid and CAD/CAM software such as SolidWorks. This role involves developing precise programs custom parts for CNC milling machines, reading blueprints, and ensuring efficient production processes. The CNC Programmer will play a vital role in maintaining high-quality standards and optimizing machining operations to meet production goals.
Responsibilities- Develop, test, and optimize CNC programs for machines.
- Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to produce accurate machining instructions.
- Utilize CAD software like SolidWorks and B-Studio and other CAD/CAM tools to design and modify parts for manufacturing.
- Set up and operate CNC equipment, including CNC machines, ensuring proper calibration and tooling.
- Perform routine inspections using calipers and other hand tools to verify dimensions and tolerances.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics for machining operations.
- Maintain documentation of programs, setups, and modifications for quality control purposes.
- Collaborate with the manufacturing team to improve processes through lean manufacturing principles.
- Assist with assembly or other related tasks as needed to support production efficiency.
- Operate forklifts and power tools safely when required for material handling or machine setup.
Qualifications- Proven experience in CNC programming in a custom high end millwork setting.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with a solid understanding of machining and millwork processes.
- Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks/ B-Stiduo and general blueprint reading skills.
- Basic math skills necessary for precise measurements and calculations in machining.
- Hands-on experience with CNC milling machines, including setup and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with hand tools, calipers, power tools and assembly techniques.
- Ability to read technical drawings accurately and interpret blueprints effectively.
- Knowledge of custom high end millwork is mandatory.
- Experience operating forklifts is a plus.
