About Soneil Spark:Soneil Spark is building the future of EV charging and energy infrastructure. Our portfolio spans EV charging solutions, microgrid energy solutions, and software and hardware products that support the transition to electrified transportation and distributed energy. We're an early-stage company moving quickly to scale commercially in a rapidly growing industry.
We're a tight-knit team that moves fast, makes real decisions, and gives people genuine ownership. This isn't a polished enterprise environment — it's a hands-on company where the work is interesting, the pace is quick, and what you build matters.
The Role:We're hiring a Commercial Financial Lead to drive revenue growth by designing the financial programs and products that get our solutions sold. You'll figure out what makes customers say yes — whether that's a multi-year lease, a subscription, a financing structure, a trade-in program, or something no one else in the market is offering yet.
You'll work directly with customers and alongside Sales to structure the deals that close. You'll decide the margins we're willing to take, design commercial programs that unlock new buyer segments, and be in front of customers helping them see how our products can work for their business.
You'll also be out in the market — at tradeshows, scouting competitors, and bringing that intelligence back to shape how we price, position, and grow. And you'll do the analytical work that supports all of this: modeling deals, evaluating grants and incentives, sizing markets, and exploring new revenue opportunities.
Beyond the core commercial work, you'll also think about where emerging opportunities could become new products we offer. You'll work the business model through first — figuring out whether we can package it, what the economics look like, and whether it works for both us and the customer.
This role needs someone who's equally strong with people and with numbers. You'll spend your time split between customer conversations, sales partnerships, and deep financial analysis. The work is always in service of one thing: helping Soneil Spark grow revenue profitably.

- Deal economics — setting margin targets, structuring commercial terms, and partnering with Sales on strategic deals
- Customer-facing commercial work — working directly with customers to figure out what program structure makes sense for their needs and helping close deals
- Pricing strategy — setting and adjusting pricing across our product portfolio based on margin, competitive positioning, and customer feedback
- Market & competitive intelligence — attending tradeshows, tracking competitor pricing and offerings, talking to customers, and bringing that insight back into our strategy
- Grants and incentives — evaluating which programs are worth pursuing and how they enhance our commercial offering
- Market analysis — sizing opportunities, analyzing competitive dynamics, identifying where we should focus
- New product and program opportunities — thinking through whether emerging areas can be packaged as products we offer our customers; working the business model first, then recommending whether to pursue
- Whatever else comes up — the scope will grow and shift as the business evolves
