Job Title: Commercial Project Manager
A Snapshot of Your DayOn the Pickering Refurbishment Project, no day will be the same. As one of the largest projects in execution within Siemens Energy you will be part of a team that is required to solve problems and overcome challenges that push the project forward. As a Commercial Project Manager supporting the World Project Controller and the rest of the Project management team, you will ensure that the project reporting both internal and externally is of the highest quality, delivering meaningful information to support decision making.
How You’ll Make An Impact- Financial execution of construction projects including creating sale orders and setting up projects in SAP, revenue recognition, invoicing and payment terms and maintenance and controlling of project costs.
- Ensuring correct financial reporting of project balances in monthly financial statements, including margin and other balance sheet positions including period closing activities.
- Create best in class project reporting to provide transparency of project performance utilizing digital tools such as Power BI on cost, schedule and risk.
- Establish and improve project specific commercial processes to support world project reporting.
- Ensures project reporting is aligned with the global PE@SE requirements
- Ensures FX reporting is as per FX guidelines
- Other tasks as required as a key member of the Project Management Team.
What You Bring- University Degree in Accounting/ Finance/ international business/ or related financial areas.
- 3+ years’ experience in project controlling or commercial project management roles or similar.
- Confident handling of SAP and MS Office
- Personal initiative, result-oriented work style, willingness to communicate, analytical skills, team orientation
- Proficiency or experience working with Power BI/Tableau or similar alongside Alteryx and Snowflake.
- Awareness of Commercial and Contractual issues
About The TeamThe Pickering Refurbishment Project Management Team has been established to execute the 4-unit refurbishment of the Pickering Nuclear facility in Ontario Canada. The team is responsible for leading one of the largest projects within Siemens Energy on behalf of our customer. We are supported by the wider GS NA organization within Canada and USA.
