Pay: $22.00 – $25.00/hour

About Us

Common Ground Supported Living supports adults with disabilities and mental health challenges to live safely and independently in real homes within their communities.

Our work is part of Nova Scotia’s Human Rights Remedy , helping people move away from institutional care into meaningful, community-based living.

The Role

As a Support Worker, you help people live day-to-day life with dignity, safety, and independence.

What you’ll do:

• Support daily routines and personal care (as needed)
• Assist with medications and safety checks
• Help with meals, groceries, and household tasks
• Support appointments, transportation, and scheduling
• Encourage community participation and activities
• Provide structure, emotional support, and consistency
• Document shifts clearly for the team

This role is about being a steady, reliable presence — not just completing tasks.

Requirements

• High school diploma (Human Services an asset)
• CCA or care experience (asset)
• First Aid & CPR Level C
• Food Handler Certificate (or willingness to get)
• Criminal Record & Vulnerable Sector Check
• Valid driver’s license and insurance
