Job SummaryOur prestigious client is seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled Controls Engineer / Programmer with strong project management capabilities to join our growing team. This role combines hands-on controls design and programming with project coordination responsibilities, supporting automation projects from concept through commissioning, and project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:- Updating and creating drawing systems and panel designs utilizing AutoCAD Electrical.
- Design, develop, and implement control systems for industrial automation projects, including PLCs, HMIs, motion, and servo systems.
- Program, test, and debug PLC/HMI applications (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or equivalent platforms).
- Develop control panel layouts, electrical schematics, and I/O documentation in coordination with design and fabrication teams.
- Lead and coordinate project activities, ensuring schedules, budgets, and customer requirements are met.
- Interface with customers to define project scope, technical requirements, and system functionality.
- Support system installation, testing, and on-site commissioning.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (mechanical, electrical, and software) to deliver turnkey automation solutions.
- Manage project documentation, revisions, and reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements- Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in industrial automation, controls engineering, or PLC/HMI programming.
- Proficiency with Allen-Bradley (RSLogix/Studio 5000) and/or Siemens (TIA Portal) environments.
- Have working knowledge of industrial PCs and PLCs (Beckhoff, Siemens, AB, etc.) and electric circuits consisting of contractors, relays, main voltage/control voltage, limit switches and proximity sensors, etc.
- Strong understanding of industrial communication protocols (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profibus, etc.).
- Experience with project coordination or management in an automation environment.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in fast-paced, project-driven settings.

Pay:$60,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
