Type: Temporary Contract — estimated 4–6 weeks
Location: Moose Jaw, SK (approx. 20 min from Moose Jaw)
Shifts: Early: 5:25 AM – 1:25 PM (Mon–Fri + some weekends) | Mid: 11:35 AM – 7:35 PM (7 days/week)
Schedule: Up to 5 days/week; rotating weekend coverage
Security: Gov’t of Canada Reliability Status required — criminal record check + RCMP fingerprinting (~3–4 days to process). No felony/DUI convictions. Canadian citizen, PR, or valid work visa.
ABOUT THE ROLEJoin the food services team, preparing and presenting high-quality meals across all meal periods. This is a hands-on cook position requiring solid commercial kitchen experience.
WHAT YOU’LL DO- Prepare and cook hot and cold dishes for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and catered events
- Follow recipes, HACCP standards, and food safety protocols
- Operate commercial kitchen equipment: char broiler, convection oven, griddle, fryer, floor mixer, steam table
- Apply intermediate to advanced knife skills; produce small and large batch goods
- Estimate food quantities, check production records, and accommodate special dietary needs
- Clean and sanitize workstations and equipment to regulatory standards
- Attend required allergy, foodborne illness, and safety training
WHAT YOU BRING- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3–4 years of commercial cooking experience
- Intermediate to advanced knife skills; ability to follow recipes unsupervised
- Familiarity with commercial kitchen equipment
- Flexible availability including early mornings and some weekends
- Ability to obtain Government of Canada Reliability Status clearance
