DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel & Conference Centre has an exciting opportunity for an early morning Line Prep /Breakfast Cook to join our culinary team!
This is a permanent position with opportunity to support both our WildSage Restaurant and Banquet event departments. Hours will range from 4:30am - 12:00pm, required on weekends. The more availability you have will provide opportunity for more hours.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:- Ensure that the quality and the presentation of all foods prepared meet the Executive Chefs' standards for both Restaurant and Banquet functions
- Prep and fill stations, ensuring minimum food spoilage
- Assist kitchen management in ensuring correct food handling and storage standards at all times, including labeling, rotation and daily quality checks.
- Under direction of the Sous Chefs, daily review of banquet and catering functions
- Maintain all occupational standards i.e. Food Safe, WHMIS and OHS
Preferred Education & Qualifications:- Minimum 2 years restaurant or hotel kitchen experience
- 2nd year level apprentice or equivalent combination of education and experience will be accepted
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Proven ability to manage multi-tasked assignments and work effectively as a team member with little supervision
- attention to detail ensuring utmost quality at all times
- Food Safe and WHMIS Certifications required- will provide training
