OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a COOK and Level 1 Educator. This role is ideal for someone with a strong interest in the food industry, including food preparation, cooking, and food service.
Responsibilities- Prepare and cook a variety of menu items according to established recipes and standards
- Assist with food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures to ensure compliance with food safety regulations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment and workstations
- Follow proper food preparation techniques, including meal assembly and plating
- Support team members during busy periods to ensure timely meal delivery and cover classroom educator during breaks.
- Adhere to all health and safety guidelines related to food handling and kitchen operations
Experience- Knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards is advantageous
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and food industry best practices is a plus
- Strong communication skills and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- A positive attitude, reliability, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service are essential
- Alberta Level 1 Childcare certificate preferred
- Must hold a valid Food Safety and Handling Training Certificate
