Duties- Prepare and present sushi dishes with precision and artistry, ensuring high standards of taste and presentation.
- Handle food safely and adhere to all food safety regulations during preparation and service.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and efficient kitchen operations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sushi station, including proper storage of ingredients.
- Monitor inventory levels of sushi ingredients and communicate needs to management for timely replenishment.
- Assist in training new kitchen staff on sushi preparation techniques and food handling practices.
- Stay updated on current trends in sushi cuisine and incorporate new ideas into the menu offerings.
Qualifications- Proven experience in a restaurant or kitchen environment, specifically in sushi preparation or Japanese cuisine preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food handling practices, food safety regulations, and sanitation standards.
- Excellent cooking skills with the ability to prepare various types of sushi, including nigiri, sashimi, and rolls.
- Familiarity with meal preparation techniques and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members in a fast-paced environment.
