OverviewWe are seeking a reliable and professional Courier Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for timely and safe delivery of freight and packages to various locations. This role requires a strong knowledge of North Bay proper, excellent driving skills and the ability to handle freight efficiently. The Courier Driver plays a vital role in ensuring customer satisfaction through prompt and accurate deliveries, supporting the overall success of our operations. Responsibilities- Safely operate commercial delivery vans to deliver freight and packages
- Follow daily delivery routes while also adjusting to incoming same day, on demand delivery requests throughout the day.
- Load and offload freight
- Ensure all deliveries are accurate and complete, verifying recipient information upon delivery
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety and compliance
- Maintain detailed records of deliveries, pickups, and mileage for reporting purposes
- Communicate effectively with dispatcher and customers regarding delivery status or issues
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during operations
Requirements- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record suitable for commercial driving
- Must be insurable and bondable
- Ability to operate basic automotive repair tools for minor vehicle troubleshooting
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and delivery processes
- Excellent communication and math skills
- Physical ability to lift heavy freight to a maximum of 50#
- Prior experience in commercial driving or courier services is a plus
- Must pass background checks and adhere to safety standards at all times
