Key Responsibilities:- Primarily responsible for moving heavy civil equipment and supplies between sites
- Safe operation of the crane while loading and unloading; daily inspection of crane and rigging equipment
- Secure and transport loads in a professional manner and represent the company to the highest standards
- Complete pre-trip truck inspections and perform routine maintenance; notify mechanics/shop when maintenance is needed
- Communicate with customers and other trades on construction sites
- Maintain contact with dispatch and work to resolve issues as they arise
- Compliance with WorkSafeBC regulations
- Maintain driver log
- Additional duties as assigned
Must Haves:- Valid B.C. Class 1 driver's licence with satisfactory driving record
- Rigging experience
- Legally authorized to work in Canada without sponsorship for employment visa status
- Knowledge of local transportation routes
- Problem solver; ability to work safely and independently without constant supervision
Not mandatory but considered an asset:- CraneSafe Level A Certification
- Forklift experience
