Position OverviewWe are looking for an energetic, customer-focused, and detail-oriented Customer Service & Sales Associate / Paint & Colour Specialist to join our team.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, has an eye for colour and design, thrives in a fast-paced retail environment, and takes pride in delivering outstanding service.
You will assist customers with product selection, mix and tint paint, support daily store operations, and help create a welcoming and organized shopping experience.

Key Responsibilities- Assist customers in selecting paint, stains, and related products that best suit their project needs
- Provide expert advice on colour selection, finishes, and application techniques
- Tint, mix, and colour match paints and stains accurately
- Process customer orders in person, over the phone, and via email
- Operate point-of-sale systems and complete transactions accurately
- Receive shipments, stock shelves, and maintain inventory organization
- Maintain clean, organized, and visually appealing sales and tint areas
- Build strong relationships with homeowners, contractors, and repeat customers
- Support merchandising, displays, and promotional activities
- Ensure all orders meet quality and accuracy standards before fulfillment
- Conduct upselling and high-end sales to maximize revenue opportunities
- Handle POS transactions, cash handling, and cashiering duties accurately
- Engage in outside sales efforts when applicable, including negotiation and account management
- Maintain organized merchandising displays and ensure product availability
- Utilize Canva/SketchUp or CAD tools for product visualization or renovation projects as needed
- Collaborate with marketing teams to promote new products or services
- Provide support for retail sales initiatives and conduct product demonstrations to enhance customer engagement
- Address customer inquiries promptly, resolve issues efficiently, and follow up to ensure satisfaction
- Assist with basic math calculations for transactions and inventory management

Qualifications- 2–4 years of retail, sales, or customer service experience preferred
- Experience in paint, hardware, home improvement, décor, or construction retail is an asset
- Post-secondary education is considered an asset
