One of things we are known for is our great service, your job will be to continue this tradition of excellent service. As a Delivery Driver you are responsible for on time delivery, building loads for delivery, helping out in the yard with customers, and keeping the yard in order. This job involves a large amount of manual labor with deliveries of drywall, shingles and lumber.

Reports to: Yard Manager, Assistant Yard Manager
Job Duties:Delivery- When in doubt call in to the yard manager.
- Call when you get to a jobsite and when you leave a jobsite.
- Call in when you get to the yard and when you leave for transfers.
- Cell phone subsidization is available. Or company phone.
- Make sure to use good lifting technique for caring product.
- Make sure to tie down all loads securely.
- Do your truck inspection every morning including first aid kits and waver forms.
- Do not leave truck unintended and running.
- Check your load before leaving the yard! This means to go over the list of items in yard before leaving to deliver them.
- Where possible, please review the load at the jobsite and provide sign-off upon completion.
- Take photos on the mobile APP when you leave and when deliver product (see App deliver instructions)
- If you are asked to deliver some product on to a finished lawn or driveway have the homeowner or contractor sign off on hour disclaimer sheet.
- Check the cab of the truck for hardware/ nails do this before leaving the yard and before leaving the jobsite.
- If a customer wants you to take product back and you are unsure contact yard supervisor. Do not question customer on condition of product the yard manager and salesman will take care of the credit.
- Our standard policy on returns is to take product back good or bad condition.
- Some product can be dumped but others may need to be hand delivered Eg. Drywall, Concrete bags, bagged goods, composite decking.
- If a load is dumped and comes apart you are responsible to straighten up the load.
- If the contractor/ customer asks for it to be carried in or delivered around back and it is not designated on the invoice then call in before you do this.
- If the contractor or customer wants us to crane or forklift something on their jobsite and it is not on the invoice call in to the yard manager, store manager or the salesperson for this customer.
- If you are asked to deliver something and you feel it is not safe call in to the yard manager and discuss the situation with him if needed send photos.
- Kingdon employee must not deliver product to locations higher then 10ft from ground surface unless they have fall safety training or there is a safety barrier e.g. railing!
- Kingdon delivery driver most obey the governmental laws of the road at all times.
- On jobsite remember that the general contractor is in charge and responsible for your safety.
Repairs & Maintenance:Report any required repairs or scheduled maintenance that needs to be completed.
Fuel & Tracking:Monitor the truck location and ensure it has sufficient fuel; complete and sign off on all fuel logs.
Cleanliness:Drivers are responsible for keeping trucks clean, including removing all garbage from the cab.
