This role is hybrid and requires you to be at our downtown Toronto (250 Yonge Street) and/or Client office at a minimum 2 days per week - subject to change at any time.
We are seeking a highly experienced Delivery Lead with extensive experience overseeing technology and quality engineering (QE) delivery in large‑scale enterprise environments. The successful candidate will bring 20+ years of delivery leadership experience, a strong understanding of backend systems and services, and proven expertise in intake, estimation, risk management, and QE governance. This role requires strong client-facing skills, ownership mindset, and the ability to manage complex delivery engagements end to end.
Your future duties and responsibilitiesDelivery & Program Leadership- Provide overall delivery leadership for complex technology and QE initiatives.
- Own end to end delivery accountability, ensuring timelines, scope, budget, and quality are met.
- Lead project intake efforts, including demand assessment, solution intake, and feasibility analysis.
- Drive estimation, delivery planning, and resourcing strategies across initiatives.
Technology & Backend Oversight- Leverage strong understanding of technology platforms and backend services to guide delivery decisions.
- Partner with architecture, development, and QE teams to ensure solutions are technically sound and scalable.
- Support delivery across integrated systems and complex application landscapes.
QE Governance & Quality Management- Establish and enforce QE governance frameworks, best practices, and quality metrics.
- Oversee testing strategy and execution, including functional, integration, regression, and peripheral testing.
- Ensure quality risks are identified early and mitigated appropriately.
- Provide leadership oversight for QE teams and vendor partners.
Risk, Issue & Change Management- Identify, manage, and mitigate delivery, technical, and operational risks.
- Lead escalation management and resolution of critical issues.
- Proficiently manage contracts, statements of work, and change requests (CRs).
- Ensure formal change control processes are followed and communicated to stakeholders.
Stakeholder & Client Management- Act as a primary point of contact for client stakeholders, including leadership.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through transparent communication and delivery excellence.
- Lead governance forums, executive updates, and steering committee meetings.
- Ensure clear and consistent communication across business, technology, and QE teams.
Required qualifications to be successful in this roleExperience- Minimum 20 years of experience working as a Delivery Lead, Program Lead, or equivalent role
- Extensive experience leading large, complex enterprise delivery engagements
Delivery & Governance SkillsStrong hands on experience with:
- Project intake and demand management
- Estimation and delivery planning
- Risk and issue management
- Project and program management
- Deep expertise in QE governance and quality assurance best practices
- Experience overseeing peripheral testing and integrated system testing
Technology & Process Knowledge- Strong understanding of technology platforms and backend services
- Ability to work effectively with architecture, development, and QE teams
- Experience managing delivery across multi system integrations
Contract & Change Management- Proficient in contract management, statements of work, and vendor oversight
- Strong experience with change request (CR) management and commercial governance
Communication & Leadership Skills- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong client management and stakeholder engagement abilities
- Executive presence and ability to influence decision making
- Ability to lead through complexity and ambiguity
Nice to Have- Experience in regulated industries (e.g., banking or financial services)
- Prior experience leading hybrid or onsite client delivery models
- Experience managing multi vendor delivery environments
CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $95,000–$145,000. This role is an existing vacancy.
