This role is responsible for strengthening the organization’s financial position by shaping and executing strategies that support sustainable, long-term growth. The successful candidate will focus on optimizing returns, improving cost efficiency, and identifying opportunities to enhance capital performance. This position reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer.
Key Responsibilities- Lead all financial activities and guide the overall financial planning framework for Canadian operations
- Deliver clear, timely financial insights to senior leadership and the Board, including performance reporting, forecasts, and ad hoc analysis
- Develop and maintain both short- and long-range financial models to support strategic decision-making internally and externally
- Partner with audit and tax teams to evaluate financial results and ensure alignment with regulatory and reporting requirements
- Establish and continuously improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls across financial reporting and administrative functions
- Ensure compliance with applicable standards and regulations, including IFRS, GAAP, SEC requirements, and Sarbanes-Oxley
- Build and lead high-performing teams across billing, cash application, and collections functions, setting clear objectives and driving accountability
- Stay informed on industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory developments that may impact the business
- Oversee hiring, development, and performance management of team members, providing ongoing coaching and guidance
Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics; MBA considered an asset
- 10+ years of progressive experience in a corporate setting, ideally within industrial or manufacturing environments
- CPA and/or CFA designation preferred
- At least 5 years of leadership experience with demonstrated success in managing and developing teams
- Strong financial acumen with advanced analytical and systems capabilities
- Experience working within a global organization is preferred
- Exposure to mergers, acquisitions, or joint venture activities is beneficial
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Detail-oriented with a strong sense of ownership and follow-through
- Able to manage competing priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment
Pay:Up to $200,000.00 per year
