Job SummaryAs a Dishwasher / Cook 3 (Hybrid) at Parkway Social, you will play a vital frontline role supporting both kitchen cleanliness and basic food preparation across multiple outlets, including Ostin’s Casual Dining, Parkway Social Bar, L6 Trendy Cuisine, and hotel dining services at the Holiday Inn and Staybridge Suites.
This position is ideal for someone early in their culinary journey who wants to build foundational kitchen skills, gain exposure to different service styles, and grow in a fast-paced, supportive hotel and restaurant environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesDishwasher & Sanitation Duties (Primary)- Operate commercial dishwashing equipment safely and efficiently.
- Wash, sanitize, and properly store dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
- Keep dish areas, pot wash stations, floors, and drains clean and organized.
- Support kitchen cleanliness by assisting with garbage removal and recycling.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health standards at all times.
Cook 3 / Kitchen Support Duties- Assist the kitchen team with basic food preparation tasks (chopping, portioning, assembling simple dishes).
- Support prep and plating for casual dining, bar service, and trendy cuisine under direction.
- Assist with daily meal prep for hotel guest service, including breakfast and in-room dining.
- Help with setup and teardown for banquet events, including plating and buffet organization.
- Stock and restock ingredients, utensils, and workstations as needed.
Banquet-Specific Duties (As Required)- Assist in food assembly and portioning for large-scale events and group functions.
- Support service periods by running trays, refilling buffet stations, and clearing prep areas.
Receiving & Inventory Support- Accurately receive food, beverage, and kitchen supply deliveries.
- Verify quantity, quality, and freshness against invoices and order forms.
- Assist in organizing fridges, freezers, and dry storage areas.
- Ensure all products are labeled, dated, and rotated using FIFO practices.
- Communicate low-stock items or discrepancies to kitchen leadership.
Team & Culture- Work collaboratively with chefs, cooks, and dish team members.
- Demonstrate reliability, teamwork, and a strong willingness to learn.

Qualifications- Previous dishwashing or kitchen experience is an asset but not required.
- Interest in food service or culinary development is essential.
- Enrollment in or completion of a culinary program is an asset.
- Strong work ethic, punctuality, and positive attitude.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately.
- Physically able to stand for long periods and lift up to 40–50 lbs.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
