Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and reliable Cook/Dishwasher to join our team. This role is essential in maintaining the smooth operation of our kitchen by preparing meals, handling food safely, and ensuring cleanliness. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service and a strong work ethic, contributing to a positive dining experience for our customers. Previous restaurant or kitchen experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided to the right candidate.
Duties- Assist in food preparation and meal assembly according to established recipes and standards
- Cook food items as directed, ensuring quality and presentation meet expectations
- Handle food safely by following proper food handling and sanitation procedures
- Operate dishwashing equipment to clean dishes, utensils, and kitchenware efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including counters, appliances, and floors
- Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Support other kitchen staff with various tasks to ensure timely service during busy hours
Qualifications- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environments is a plus but not mandatory
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting and bending
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends or evenings if required
