As a growing organization, our company is currently looking to fill the position of Driver and Warehouse Help. We are a locally-owned and family-operated janitorial supply store with offices in Edmonton and Calgary. We service business all across Alberta and Canada, and seek to provide the highest level of service possible to help our customers succeed.
The Driver and Warehouse Help will be responsible for the daily operations in our onsite warehouse, including organizing and stocking shelves, receiving, and shipping products. This position will focus on making deliveries to customers and order pick-ups from vendors. Other responsibility involve sales and customer service when making delivering; this may include answering questions about products and processes, or other tasks necessary to assist our customers. The employee will be trained on corresponding tasks as needed. This position also has the potential for advancement within the company. We will train the employee as needed to fulfill the requirements of this position.
Main roles and responsibilities:- Provide excellent customer service;
- Organize the warehouse to maintain safety and functionality;
- Receive and ship products;
- Stock and rearrange products in front showroom;
- Deliver customer orders in a timely and professional manner;
- Sales and follow-up with customers (includes customer purchase transactions);
- Participate in periodic team meetings;
- Keep up-to-date with product knowledge;
- Tidy the store and warehouse to maintain safety and appearance;
- Open and close the store;
- On occasion, pick up products from local suppliers to fill customer orders;
- Follow all Health and Safety procedures set out by the company.
Qualifications:- High school diploma or higher;
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities;
- Strong work ethic, dependability and integrity;
- Exceptional interpersonal and multitasking skills;
- Must be comfortable manually lifting up to 50 lbs;
- Highly organized and detail-oriented;
- Knowledge of the layout of the city and previous delivery experience would be an asset;
- Must hold valid Alberta driver’s license for 3 years with clean driving record is required;
- No GDL license, must be Class 5 License holders.
- Must be able to read, write, and speak effectively in English
Compensation:We offer competitive wages based on experience; to be determined following interviews. After 3 months, salary increase and after 6 months, benefits are available. Bonus available after one year based on results.
