We are currently seeking a talented individual to join our Transportation team. This position is responsible for the assessment demonstration, competency, training, certification and licensing of operators on heavy-duty, light duty vehicles, equipment and associated attachments.

Essential QualificationsPlease submit your resume clearly demonstrating how you meet the qualifications below. Selections for further consideration will be based solely on the information you provide in your resume.
- Experience working on different computer applications (example Microsoft word, Microsoft outlook, Microsoft excel);
- Experience with and understanding of, workplace compliance standards, regulations, inspections, investigations, audits, policies and procedures, as they relate to heavy duty, light duty vehicles and equipment in an industrial setting;
- Experience with basic mechanical comprehension;
- Experience in the delivery, assessment, development, evaluation of training materials and curriculums related to heavy duty, light duty vehicles, other types of equipment and attachments, in both theoretical (classroom) and practical (field) settings.
Candidates who have education, training, and/or experience equivalent to the essential qualifications listed above may be equally considered.

Conditions of EmploymentThis is a designated position within the Yukon public service which requires the following condition(s) of employment:
- TMB Certification on heavy equipment (grader, loader, dump truck or tractor trailer), to be obtained within 6 months of hire,
- Transportation of Dangerous Goods and WHMIS Certificate (to be obtained within 1 month of hire),
- Standard first aid certification (to be obtained within 6 months of hire),
- Yukon Class 1 driver’s license with air endorsement
Job RequirementsThis is a designated position within the Yukon public service which requires the following job requirements:
- Travel throughout the Territory
- Work in adverse weather conditions,
- Work outside of headquarters area for extended periods of time,
- Use personal protective equipment
