Position Overview:The Director is responsible for the overall management of the centre, ensuring high-quality programming, regulatory compliance, and a nurturing environment for children, families, and staff. This leadership role balances administrative duties with hands-on engagement in the daily life of the centre.
Key Responsibilities:Leadership & Program Quality- Lead and support educators in delivering a nature-based, play-driven curriculum aligned with Saskatchewan’s Early Learning and Child Care Framework.
- Foster a culture of curiosity, respect, and connection to the natural world.
- Ensure the physical and emotional environments reflect the centre’s nature-based philosophy.
Staff Management & Professional Development- Recruit, train, and mentor educators, promoting professional growth and reflective practice.
- Create a collaborative, positive team culture rooted in trust and open communication.
- Schedule, supervise, and evaluate staff performance.
Administration & Compliance- Oversee day-to-day operations including licensing, budgeting, enrollment, and record keeping.
- Maintain compliance with all provincial child care regulations and health/safety standards.
- Collaborate with the Executive Director on strategic goals and reporting.
Family & Community Engagement- Build strong relationships with families through communication, transparency, and support.
- Promote the centre’s mission within the community and build partnerships that enhance programming.
EducationCertified Early Childhood Educator Level 3with Sask Ministry of Education Early Years Branch
Valid CPIC Incl Vulnerable Sector Check
Valid First Aid\CPR
Min 3 years experience in leadership
