The most powerful support you can offer a struggling 8-year-old is maintaining high expectations. If that concept troubles you, this position isn't the right fit. If it resonates, continue reading.
Alpha has redesigned conventional teaching. Academic learning happens through adaptive applications at each student's individual pace. No traditional lectures. No arbitrary grade-level limits. What remains—and what matters above all—is what technology cannot provide: the life skills, the drive, and the adult who holds each student accountable to standards they believed were beyond their reach. That's your domain.
Your day might begin by coaching a Guide using their Coachbot analytics, identifying precisely where a student group is falling behind. By midday you're facilitating a live workshop with K-8 students, executing a playbook activity focused on public speaking or delivering feedback. Afternoons transition to motivation work: reviewing individual student progress data, implementing Alpha's incentive architecture (school currency, leaderboards), and re-engaging a reluctant 7th grader. Forty percent workshops, thirty percent motivation, thirty percent coaching. You maintain your own student cohort throughout, ensuring your coaching remains rooted in direct practice.
You've likely heard you're overly results-oriented for education. Too metrics-focused. Too firm on boundaries that unsettle other adults. Alpha is designed precisely for that profile. You validate the model's effectiveness through your own student outcomes, elevate the Guides (Alpha's teacher equivalents) around you to matching standards, and as you demonstrate results, your influence over campus-wide program quality expands.
Maintain the standard. Transform the student. Apply now.
What You Will Be Doing- Facilitating one-hour live workshops focused on life skills (public speaking, concentration, giving and receiving feedback) for K-8 students, executing Alpha's established playbook
- Conducting motivation sessions leveraging Coachbot analytics and Alpha's incentive architecture (school currency, leaderboards) to achieve 100% student goal completion
- Coaching Guides on maintaining program fidelity and enforcing standards, with each session yielding specific improvement actions
- Managing your own student cohort to ensure your coaching remains anchored in direct, firsthand experience
- Monitoring student satisfaction scores, goal completion rates, and Guide performance data weekly to identify underperformance early
What You Won’t Be Doing- Teaching mathematics, literacy, or any academic content — adaptive applications manage all academic instruction
