Position: Educational Assistant

Status: Part Time Term Certain Appointment– FTE .8214(5hrs & 45 mins daily) The starting wage for this position is $26.34/HR

Commencement Date: ASAP, until return of incumbent with June 19, 2026, being latest possible end date.

Education Assistants work to support our priority students with a variety of learning and/or social, emotional, and behavioural needs, as well as provide general supervision in the school. Applicants should have an inclusive, positive, and supportive attitude; be willing to learn; have a flexible and growth mindset; identify and work with student strengths; and a desire to help each student find a pathway to success. Applicants must be willing to work with any assigned student in a variety of school settings, and able to support students for success in all subject areas. May need to participate in swimming program.

Qualifications:

• Secondary School graduation.
• Previous experience in working with children.
• Ability to organize work effectively.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students and staff.
• Ability to handle and maintain all information with a high degree of confidentiality.
• Equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Familiarity with Indigenous culture is an asset.
• Clear Criminal Record Check.
