About the RoleWe're looking for a talented Email Designer to own the visual identity of our email channel—from campaign blasts and automated flows to transactional messages. You'll craft beautiful, conversion-driven emails that reflect the elegance of our jewelry collections and resonate with our DTC customer base. This role sits at the intersection of brand storytelling, digital design, and performance marketing.
Key Responsibilities- Design and produce end-to-end email campaigns including promotional, lifecycle, retention, and transactional emails.
- Create and maintain a scalable email design system with reusable templates, modules, and components that align with brand guidelines.
- Collaborate with copywriters, photographers, and the marketing team to translate campaign briefs into compelling email layouts.
- Develop responsive HTML email templates that render consistently across major email clients (Gmail, Apple Mail, Outlook, etc.).
- Design automated flow assets (welcome series, abandoned cart, post-purchase, win-back) with a focus on customer journey and conversion.
- Conduct A/B testing on design elements such as layout, imagery, CTAs, and color to optimize open rates and click-through rates.
- Stay current with email design trends, accessibility best practices, and rendering quirks across devices and clients.
- Support seasonal campaign launches, product drops, and collection releases with bespoke email creative.
- Partner with the retention/CRM team to analyze email performance and iterate on design based on data insights.
Qualifications- 3+ years of experience in email design, preferably within e-commerce, fashion, beauty, or luxury/jewelry brands.
- Strong portfolio showcasing email campaign design work with a clear understanding of DTC aesthetics and conversion-focused design.
- Proficiency in Figma (or Sketch/Adobe XD) and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator).
- Working knowledge of HTML and CSS for email—understanding of tables-based layouts, inline styles, and cross-client rendering.
- Experience with at least one ESP/CRM platform such as Klaviyo, Mailchimp, Braze, or Attentive.
- Solid understanding of responsive design principles and email accessibility standards.
- Excellent eye for typography, layout, color, and visual hierarchy.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment.
Nice to Have- Experience working specifically with jewelry, fine jewelry, or luxury accessories brands.
- Motion design skills (animated GIFs, CSS animations for email).
- Familiarity with SMS/MMS creative design as a complementary channel.
- Experience with Litmus, Email on Acid, or similar email testing tools.
- Understanding of CAN-SPAM, GDPR, and email deliverability best practices.
