Your MissionAs an Engineering Program Manager at Hydrostor, you will play a pivotal role in shaping, advancing, and operationalizing our engineering programs and long duration energy storage projects. This role is ideal for an engineering leader who thrives at the intersection of systems thinking, technology development, and cross-functional execution.
Your scope will span program oversight, engineering systems implementation, and product lifecycle execution. You will help build and maintain the technology roadmap, drive development of engineering specifications in partnership with subject‑matter experts. This position will also contribute to the development of new products and technology pathways while coordinating closely with global teams, including regular collaboration with counterparts in Australia.
Your Day-to-Day AdventuresTechnical Program Oversight- Collaborate with product, project, engineering, operations, and commercial teams to define program requirements, specifications, and deliverables.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure technical requirements are met.
- Develop, maintain, and refine program management plans including schedules, budget and performance metrics, ensuring timely delivery of technology solutions.
- Support development and prioritization of the technology roadmap, focusing on vetted initiatives and maturing concepts into executable programs following a tollgate process.
- Track progress across engineering programs, providing visibility into execution, risks, and alignment with strategic objectives, escalating issues as needed.
- Lead Tech Reviews to foster collaboration, transparency and to make decisions with all relevant stakeholders.
Program-Level Control and Compliance- Apply program control tools and methodologies (including Fusion Manage and MS Project) to maintain consistency and predictability across engineering initiatives.
- Own program-level scheduling using Fusion Manage and MS Project, as well as other control tools.
- Report on milestones, dependencies, and critical-path activities to drive predictable delivery, and escalate as needed.
