Position Description:Beal University Canada offers an accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree, 30-month undergraduate program in Sackville NB. We are currently inviting applications for an Entry-Level IT Helpdesk Technician to support our on-campus technology environment.
This role is ideal for individuals looking to build hands-on experience in IT support, networking, and systems administration within a collaborative academic setting.
Responsibilities:- Provide first-line technical support to students, faculty, and staff via in-person, phone, and remote channels using approved remote access tools
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network connectivity issues on desktops, laptops, and mobile devices
- Assist with Microsoft 365 administration, including user account setup, password resets, and basic policy management
- Support campus network operations, including diagnosing connectivity issues and assisting with network equipment setup
- Perform low-voltage cable installation, including running, terminating, and testing Ethernet cabling
- Document support requests, resolutions, and technical procedures in the helpdesk ticketing system
- Assist with deployment, imaging, and maintenance of campus computers and IT equipment
Education & Knowledge:- Associate degree or equivalent coursework in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or currently pursuing)
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, switching, and Wi-Fi)
- Familiarity with Microsoft environments (Windows OS, Active Directory, Microsoft 365)
Experience:- Experience with or exposure to low-voltage cabling and physical network setup
- Ability to troubleshoot technical issues methodically and communicate solutions clearly
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
