Job OverviewWe are seeking a skilled Equipment Operator to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating machinery such as full size excavators, mini excavators, bobcats, and trucks. This role requires mechanical knowledge and experience in construction environments, ensuring that projects are completed on time and to safety standards. The Equipment Operator will play a vital part in our team providing our clients with expertise and equipment tasks essential to our operations.
Responsibilities- Operate heavy equipment including excavators, bobcats and trucks with precision and safety.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal functioning.
- Assist with site preparation, grading, backfilling, and excavation activities.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate tasks and ensure project timelines are met.
- Utilize mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting equipment issues and performing minor repairs when necessary.
- Operate commercial vehicles for transportation of equipment or materials as needed.
Qualifications- Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment such as excavators, bobcats and trucks.
- Mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Valid driver’s license Class 5 or better
- Strong understanding of safety standards in construction environments.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
