Position OverviewKootenay Columbia College is seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Instructor to join our Tourism and Hospitality Management Program. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering engaging instruction, supporting student learning, and contributing to program success.
Class Schedule- Evening classes
- Monday to Thursday
- 5:00 PM – 10:00 PM
- Part-time position
Education and Experience- Bachelor’s degree in Tourism and Hospitality Management or a related field
- Minimum 2 years of industry or teaching experience
- Post-secondary/adult teaching certifications or experience will be an asset
- Relevant certifications in the field are an advantage
Skills and Competencies- Strong knowledge of Tourism and Hospitality Management practices
- Ability to inspire, motivate, and support student learning
- Professional attitude with a commitment to quality education
- Ability to work collaboratively with faculty and staff
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to understand and respond to diverse student needs
- Comfortable using technology to enhance teaching and learning
Key Responsibilities- Deliver instruction in accordance with college policies and program standards
- Facilitate a respectful and engaging learning environment
- Assess and evaluate student performance and progress
- Provide feedback and academic support to students
- Track and report student progress on a regular basis
- Collaborate with program coordinators and academic leadership
- Support curriculum delivery and continuous improvement initiatives
- Guide and mentor students throughout their learning journey

Pay: $28.00-$30.00 per hour
Education:- Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
Experience:- Direct THM Industry : 2 years (required)
