Job SummaryWe are seeking a dynamic and organized and very hard working Event Assistant to support the planning and execution of various events for RnR Premier Events and Wild Rose Women's Events. This is a very physical role and requires lifting heavy for several hours while loading trucks, setting up the event, helping ensure the event is running smoothly all day and then tearing down site and unloading trucks.
This is an extremely rewarding and fun role as you are at run, triathlon and bike races. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in customer service, with excellent communication and organizational skills. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a vibrant team dedicated to creating memorable experiences for participants and the opportunity to learn about event planning and execution.
Responsibilities- Assist in the planning, setup, and breakdown of events, ensuring all details are executed smoothly
- Provide outstanding participant experience, addressing inquiries and ensuring satisfaction throughout the event
- Support marketing efforts by promoting events
- Coordinate with vendors, venue staff, and clients to ensure all logistical needs are met
- Manage time effectively to adhere to event schedules and deadlines
- Handle budgeting tasks related to event supplies and services, ensuring cost-effective solutions
- Communicate clearly with team members and clients to facilitate smooth operations
- Maintain organizational records of event details, participant lists, and feedback for future improvements
Experience- Prior experience in hospitality, restaurant, or hotel is highly desirable
- Strong background in marketing, customer service, or event planning is preferred
- Experience with time management and organizational tasks in fast-paced settings is essential
- Familiarity with budgeting processes related to events or hospitality operations will be beneficial
- Excellent communication skills—both verbal and written—are required for effective teamwork and client interaction

This is an 8-week position and must be UNDER THE AGE OF 30 (due to requirements of Canada Summer Jobs). Youth will be mentored by experienced staff and regular check-ins, goal-setting meetings, and hands-on learning will ensure they gain real-world skills.
We have 2 positions available:
OPTION 1 (May/June). Must be available full days (12+ hours on April 25th/26th, May 23rd/24th, May 30th/31st, and June 21st/22nd).
OPTION 2 (July/August). Must be available full days (12+ hours on July 17th/18th, August 8th/9th, August 22nd/23rd, and August 29th/30th.
Pay: $16.00-$18.00 per hour
