Excavator Operator
We are looking for experienced Excavator Operators to join our team. The successful candidates will be responsible for operating heavy equipment on remote drill sites and will be expected to adhere to safety regulations and standards. This position requires a high level of skill and experience in operating excavators, as well as a strong understanding of the equipment's capabilities and limitations. The ideal candidate should also have excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities:- Operate 16–20-ton track excavator safely and efficiently.
- Adhere to safety regulations and guidelines.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Perform daily routine and preventative maintenance on equipment.
- Conduct pre-operation inspections of equipment.
- Complete daily safety operations reporting.
- Work in all weather conditions.
Qualifications and Skills:- First Aid – Standard First Aid with CPR/AED Level C (CSA Std. Z1210-17-Intermediate)
- H2S Alive – Energy Safety Canada
- CSO – Common Safety Orientation – Energy Safety Canada
- Other Contractor Orientations, as required.
- Valid Driver's License
- Reliable transportation for travel to remote work sites
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to read, write, and speak English.
Experience:Oilfield drilling rigs are considered safety, sensitive work locations.
- Minimum one-year of experience operating a tracked excavator on an active oilfield drilling site.
- Must have experience using grapple forks to move tubulars and drill pipe.
- Must have experience using pallet forks on the excavator to unload trucks and assist rig crews with lifting needs.
- Must be knowledgeable of the mixing requirements of drill cuttings.
- Drilling rig experience is considered an asset.
- Loader experience is considered an asset.
- Willing to provide additional training for suitable candidates.
Job Types: Full-time
Salary: $120,000.00-$145,000.00 per year

- Both day and night shifts
- We TRY to work a 20-on, 10-off rotation.
