The opportunity:An employee in this role is responsible for providing and coordinating executive, administrative, and technical support to the Maamwesying Corporate Office in a confidential and professional manner. This role ensures the efficient and effective operation of the department by delivering high-level support and managing complex tasks such as reviewing incoming documents, conducting research, and preparing reports.
The successful Executive Assistant is highly organized with excellent time management skills. This incumbent has excellent interpersonal, communication, time management, problem-solving, and computer skills.
What you need to bring with you:- Five (5) years of experience as an administrative assistant at an Executive level, in a public service setting.
- A post-secondary certificate or degree in public administration, secretarial, operations or a related discipline is considered an asset.
- Advanced knowledge of computerized processes and applications and organizational skills as well as general knowledge of MS Office suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint and Google Suite.
- Five (5) years’ experience working in an office environment is preferred.
- Experience in the home and community care and health services sector is an asset.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, assessment problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Effective time management, prioritization and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and co-operatively in a busy multidisciplinary environment.
- Established ability to accurately complete required documentation, reports and forms.
- Experience working with Indigenous people, organizations, and communities.
- Knowledge and experience of Anishinabek Health and Traditional healing practices.
- A clear criminal reference check is a condition of employment.
- Must have access to a reliable vehicle and possess a valid driver’s license.
